It’s All Relative, completed in April 2021, holds a special place in my journey as an artist. It was inspired by a favourite tree in Queen’s Park, Toronto – one we affectionately nicknamed “The Performer” because of its unmistakeable presence.

But somewhere in the process of painting it, something unexpected happened. I began to trust what I was doing – not just technically, but intuitively. For the first time, I truly felt that perhaps I could paint.

Looking back, It’s All Relative represents a turning point for me: a moment of growth, confidence and beginning to trust myself as an artist.
